Improvements solar technology has made solar energy more practical for everyday use. One of the good ways to reduce electricity bills is to install a solar window heater in your house. Solar window heater is a good method to warm up your home.

- Cut the cardboard to the size of your window. Be certain that the corrugation runs vertically.
- Paint the corrugated cardboard black.
- Now take out the window screen. This will give your homemade solar window heater more space, and at the same time increase the amount of solar energy.
- When the paint dries, slide the black cardboard into the window, with the black side facing the outside.
- The bottom of the corrugated cardboard have to be raised above the window sill. The distance should just be enough to allow air to flow into the corrugation holes.
- Now that the cardboard is in place, open the window panes on the top and bottom – about one inch.
